Sometimes we leave a place, return home and realise that something within us has shifted. Becoming explores that feeling of expansion.. the sense that a beautiful experience has opened something inside you and even though the moment has passed, its energy continues to move through you.
Inspired by the colors and landscapes I encountered in Portugal, this painting is filled with vibrant pinks, oranges, touches of pinks and an olive green background. The colors move outward from the centre of the composition, creating a sense of movement, energy and growth.
This painting is about becoming someone slightly more open, more alive and more connected to possibility.
It is part of Afterglow, a series about the things beautiful experiences leave behind.. the memories, feelings and subtle changes that continue shaping us long after the moment itself has ended.
It brings an uplifting sense of movement and energy to a space while the olive green keeps the composition grounded.
