The Lilacs have been blooming beautifully in my neighborhood and I was inspired to create this painting. I saw many different shades. When I think of Spring I immediately think of Lilacs. I associate Spring with sweet aroma of Lilacs. It’s such a beautiful time when they bloom. I wanted to express the emotions that they evoke on me when I look at them and smell the flowers. I hope this painting evokes something beautiful in the viewer.
