New painting- Spring daydream

As an artist, there are certain moments when inspiration strikes like a gentle breeze, carrying with it the memories of a place once called home. It is in these moments that a canvas becomes more than just a surface; it transforms into a portal through which I can share the beauty and serenity of my cherished memories. Today, I am thrilled to introduce you to my latest creation, "Spring daydream."

From the first stroke of the brush, this painting emerged as a heartfelt homage to the enchanting landscape of my former abode. Picture a place where trees stood tall, a flowing river wove its way through endless greenery, and the air was filled with the sweet symphony of nature. It was a haven where spring unfolded in all its glory, and every corner of the landscape radiated a sense of renewal.

In "Spring daydream," I aimed to capture not just the visual beauty but the emotional resonance of that special place. The canvas breathes with the essence of freshness, echoing the warmth of sunshine, the vibrant blue sky, and the delicate charm of blossoms in full bloom. Each brushstroke is a deliberate step into the memory lane of my former home, where nature was not just a backdrop but a source of inspiration and tranquility.

The lush landscapes, the dancing trees, and the gentle flow of the river—these elements converge in a harmonious dance on the canvas. It's not merely a painting; it's a journey. As you gaze upon it, let the colors transport you to a realm where the loveliness of blooming trees and the soothing embrace of nature intertwine.

"Spring daydream" is a celebration of the perpetual cycle of renewal and the enduring beauty found in the simplest elements of the natural world. It invites you to not just witness but to experience the magic of a season that symbolizes hope, growth, and the promise of new beginnings.

Place this artwork in your space, and let it become a visual poem, an ode to the ever-renewing spirit of spring. Allow it to infuse your surroundings with the timeless energy of the season, creating a haven of tranquility and inspiration within your own walls.

Peony abstract paintings

Peony abstract paintings

Hey guys!

I’m so happy to show you my newest paintings.

Summer is here and I’ve been enjoying all the beautiful blooms around me.

When peonies started to bloom, I knew that I want to paint them.

This year their blooms are even more beautiful than last year. The blooms are bigger and fluffier.

When I observed the peonies the words that came to mind were love, romance, elegance, Spring, femininity and Spring. They are so precious and there is just something magical about them that I can’t put into words so I tried to capture the feeling that they left in me through colors.

Rose inspired abstract paintings

Hey guys

I was at the supermarket and saw a beautiful bouquet of roses and I just couldn’t help myself and bought them.

At first I felt a little bit intimidated because this is not the usual color that I use in my paintings but at the same time I wanted to try something new.

As I started mixing the colors for the painting, I got a great feeling that something beautiful will come out of it.

Working with these colors were such amazing experience. I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful these pinks looked with all the fresh greens and gold leaf.

My mom came to visit me and told me that she loves this color combination so much.

Tranquility, diptych, 9,4x13”

Moments to love, diptych, 9,4x13”

Loved working on all the little details. Often times photos don’t do justice to the paintings so I wanted to share this close up so that you could see the gorgeous texture.

These beautiful roses lasted surprisingly long and brought so much life into my home. Fall is here and I’m glad I can get so pretty flowers from the supermarket to use as a source of inspiration.

What do you think about the paintings and the color combination?

Behind the scenes- new paintings in the process

Hey guys!

I’m really excited to announce that I’m working on new paintings.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably have noticed that I like to work on canvases and paper.

I’ve noticed that this is the best way for me. I like to switch between working on canvases and paper.

Working on smaller paintings ( on paper) lets me try new color combinations. I love it because working on smaller paintings removes the fear of messing things up.

The paintings that I’m currently working on are both 23x27,5”

The painting that I’m holding on the photo below, shows my painting Lost in the beauty. When I started working on the canvas, I used this painting as a color inspiration.

I’m sure the painting will probably change a lot in the process but it was really nice to start with these soft pinks.

How art has improved my mental health

It’s a chilly October evening in Estonia. I’m sitting on the couch with my cat Mia and sipping my favourite green tea. It was a National Mental Health day recently and I thought I’ll share a little bit my story-how art has improved my mental health.

Those of you who are new here, I have social anxiety. Fortunately I have learned to control the panic attacks.

Did you know that creating art has power to reduce the stress, improve your mood and lower anxiety levels?

I have loved painting since I was a child. I always loved to paint something. Whether it was a still life object or some kind of animal.

When I was in high school, every time when I was exhausted from homework and needed to get my mind off, I would get a little notebook and just sketched something. Most of the time I sketched just some shapes and drew faces. I found that very relaxing.

I create art to express myself in ways that I can’t with words. I love that about art. I love that you can use colors, lines, shapes and texture to share parts of you that people probably are not familiar with.

As someone who struggles with anxiety, I’m really grateful that I found my passion in art because it has helped me improve my mental health a lot.

Creating art requires me to be present in the moment. I’m 100% present in the creating process.

I don’t know if you’ve ever had a panic attack or experienced anxiety in some kind of way but anxiety takes all your attention away from the present moment and usually makes you worry about the future or some kind of event.

Thanks to creating art and therapy I was able to stop taking the antidepressants and sedatives years ago.

At some point Pandemic hit and suddenly cancelled all kinds of activities and meeting people were replaced with zoom calls.

This period of time really challenged my mental health. I’m so glad that I had art. I was able to put all my emotions in my work and heal through the process.

What do you do to improve your mental health?

Diptych abstract painting Labor of love

For some time I had thought about doing a diptych so I finally decided to do it on two 80x120 cm canvases.

If you’ve been following me for a while on Social media you might remember that few years ago I did a diptych similar to this one. I remembered how much fun I had had.

Summer is the most beautiful season and I wanted this painting to radiate love, beauty, romance, passion, joy, Summer, flowers.

I meditated each time when I started working on this painting. Meditating always gets me in the right mood and gives me good ideas.

I’m really happy with how this painting turned out. Let me know what you think in the comments section
